2017 Rules discussion guidelines

Salutations Wasters.

We aren't doing them right this moment but when we do, we're going to follow Rob's Rules of organization. They can be found below.

"If I may be so bold, rules discussions tend to get sidetracked a LOT, and so stuff will fall by the wayside or just get forgotten about. For what we're looking at doing, that's really, really bad.

May I suggest the following organizational structure for our rules discussion this year?

EVERYBODY POST YOUR TOP 3 RULES ISSUES IN THE "RULES DISCUSSION TOPICS" THREAD.

1)
2)
3)

AFTER WE'VE GOTTEN 15 RESPONSES OR WHEN N8/LITTLE JOHN SAYS TO DO SO, TALLY UP THE VOTES FOR EACH ISSUE.

THE TOP 3 MOST POPULAR ISSUES ARE DISCUSSED FIRST. N8 OR LITTLE JOHN WILL CLOSE THE DISCUSSION OF EACH OF THOSE ISSUES ONCE THEY'RE HEARD ENOUGH OR AFTER 2 WEEKS HAVE PASSED, AND WE MOVE ON TO THE NEXT THREE MOST POPULAR ISSUES.

...AND SO FORTH UNTIL EVERYONE'S ISSUES HAVE BEEN BROUGHT UP FOR DISCUSSION.

This makes sure everyone gets their voices heard, and that there's not a giant mess of 20 different topics pulling everyone between them and dividing focus like we're all there in the same room talking at once.

(And while the plural of anecdote is not "data", nobody's actually got "data" in the first place, so everyone's anecdotes have the same validity.)

If you feel this is a reasonable way to handle the discussions this time, please post up your desired Top 3."

Could our 99 Miata, for which there is no National ST class ... run in either of those classes?

Its fun to see people make a rant thread theyre first post, but it would be nice if they checked older threads first.
